Your The Woodlands Emergency Dentist

Dental emergencies are sudden and terrifying – not to mention that they tend to happen at the most inconvenient time. If you or a loved one is suffering severe oral pain or injury, don’t wait. Contact Bear Branch Family and Cosmetic Dentistry right away so we can see you for an emergency appointment as soon as possible. In most cases, Dr. Kelly LeBlanc and Dr. Virgil Gutierrez provide relief on the same day as your initial call, and if you’re unable to reach our location in The Woodlands, TX right away, we provide instructions over the phone to maintain and improve your current condition. Here is some helpful information concerning common emergency scenarios:

Knocked Out Tooth

Do you still have the tooth? Rinse it carefully under water to remove foreign debris taking care to leave natural tissue attached in the process. If possible, place it back into its original socket. Otherwise, put the tooth in a cup or plastic bag of milk. It’s possible that our team could reattach the natural tooth, but time is of the essence in this situation. Contact our office right away.

Broken Tooth

Have fragments broken off of the tooth? Collect and rinse them carefully. Bring them with you to our office so we can determine whether reattachment is possible. Additionally, a cold compress held against the appropriate cheek reduces swelling.

Painful Toothache

Floss around the tooth to dislodge any food particles or other debris that could be causing the discomfort. Rinse your mouth as well. If pain persists, please contact our office for assistance.

If you’ve broken your jaw and/or experience heavy oral bleeding, our doctors recommend that you go to your nearest emergency room. After your initial care, we assist you with repairing any broken and/or lost teeth suffered in the same accident. Contact our team here in The Woodlands to schedule an emergency appointment today. We also welcome patients from Montgomery,  and beyond.
